So only 30 days left to go until the big day....

And yes I am in full freakout mode. I feel like I have a million things to do and the list is getting longer not shorter.

I know it will all work out but I am ready for it to just be here.

Change is plans maybe????

Well the school system my daughter goes to has decided to close my daughters school. The upsetting thing is the school she would feed into has not past ISTEP in a few years besides they have a lot of bullying problems. Sooo.... it looks like we may be going back to homeschooling her again.

When Lizzie was 3 yrs old I started doing homeschool with preschool stuff to try and see if we could do it....at that time the reason for doing this was because I was a single mom working 2nd shift and I didn't want to loss out on raising my daughter. We did that until Fall of 2008...at that time I put her in public schooling because I had tried 4 different programs and I couldn't get her to read. So she has gone to public school for 3 years now. And for the last 1 1/2 years she has begged me to homeschool her again. But I have to be honest I didn't miss the fights with her about doing her homeschool....

Fast forward to now.....I have been doing my research again to homeschool her and there is so much out there. I get very excited about teaching her again. I still work 2nd shift so I don't get to see her but for 1 hour in the morning before putting her on the bus. So tomorrow we goto a homeschool convention here in Fort Wayne. I am just looking to see whats out there....

And I know the first question usually is socialization.....just to head that off Lizzie is in no way a skirt hugging girl....she is very outgoing dance, soccer, girl scouts and I am lucky to live in a community that has a hugh homeschool group that does field trips and P.E. classes at our college.

I'm Engaged

Jeff and I have been dating for about 3 years and this last weekend he asked me to marry him...

My life has had so may turns, hills, and valley's and it has been an amazing ride so far. It is exciting to think about moving into this next step. To feel so secure in my relationship knowing that he is the "one".

Wedding plans are in full swing. The date is set for July 9th, 2011. We will have everything at Blue Lake Campgrounds. Things are going to be very simple and casual. Already so may details are coming together....I have my dress!!!!

Hopefully I can keep up on clogging...

Staycation is over

I had a very nice time off work. I did get a bit of stitching done and I am very happy with my progress.

The boys were here this weekend and were so happy to be back at the house. Lizzie had a friend over so everyone was entertained. Jeff even spend most of the weekend working on our spook house.

All in all it was a nice little break!!!

Getting ready for my Staycation...

I am getting ready to take a few days off work and looking forward to staying home. Making plans on what to do and eat. Planning out my menu and a day trip or two. We get the boys this weekend so with any luck pumpkins will be purchased and carved by the kids. Lizzie has a chili supper musical to go to... so though my original plans are to just stitch I will have some other things to do also.

I still have to get blankets made for the boys, get the house picked up, and get my grocery shopping done. If everything goes as planned I will still get my stitching fix in and have a great time off. I look forward to reporting in on my wonderful staycation....

Challenge is Over

Well, my 30 day challenge is over.... I was able to learn a bit about myself and reflect on where I am and where I want to be. Some of the assignments were tough for me to look at but insightful none the less. I hope to grow as a person and become a better me. I want to be more patient and understanding of people....

So I can say it was a success and family & friends watch me grow...love ya

Volunteering.....

Those that know me know I love to champion Coummity Service.... I would to see more people doing volunteering. Well this year my dear sister is going back to college (I am so proud of you Annette) anyway because of that she has asked parents in her Brownie troop to step up and help with the troop more.

I told her last week that I would do the Community Service section of the troop. I do have some great ideas but need more...the girls are in the age range of 8-10 years old.

Some of my ideas are soup kitchen
